Football Association Challenge Cup : After the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia bought the English club Newcastle, they have managed to give a huge chunk of capital to the club. However, the club is still facing issues such as having a proper line-up. FA Cup is here, and few teams have already played their first matches. Newcastle was among them. The club faced Cambridge United and in a shocking result of 1-0, Cambridge United was able to knock the Magpies right out of the park.
From the post-match press conference right after the game, he stated that “Newcastle’s body language and attitude towards the game was strong and we desperately needed to win”. Despite having much of the possession against Cambridge United they were not able to convert it into goals. Matt Ritchie stated, “yeah we were good all over the pitch, we were also able to show some good possession, but we definitely failed to put the ball past the net, and we got punished for that”. Newcastle has to go a long way to get their team on an unbeatable streak. They are currently looking at some more prospects for players in this transfer window. The recent signing of Kieran Trippier has brought some strength to its defend but they have to work a lot for building up that wall they need against the big clubs.
