Chelsea Board Meeting : After the recent drama with Romelu Lukaku and his club Chelsea FC, the player faced some backlashes from his team and the fans. Where some fans sympathized, some of them wrote hate comments. Since Romelu Lukaku joined Chelsea FC after a record-breaking transfer last summer. He made a total appearance of thirteen matches and scored five goals in total.
Although the fans had great expectations from this Belgian striker, he was unable to deliver the result. Thomas Tuchel had then benched the player for applying some new tactics and from then he hardly made any appearances. Recent comments from Lukaku of not allowing him to play and showcase have sparked some rumors of whether Chelsea will let go of the Belgian player. (Chelsea Board Meeting)
One of the tweets by Gary Neville said that “Romelu Lukaku should apologize to his teammates and his team for the outcome of Liverpool versus Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.”, he also said, “he should apologize for the disruption he created for the upcoming game and their preparations against Liverpool FC”.
Since after that the board of Chelsea decided to sit down and discuss terms with Lukaku and Tuchel. A meeting was held on the eve of 4th January regarding this. After the conference, Chelsea made it clear with their position on the Lukaku and Tuchel crisis. The board has decided that Lukaku won’t be leaving the club this January and has no way for a loan too. (Chelsea Board Meeting)
The board has backed Tuchel on this and Lukaku was seen at the training grounds. Tuchel said that “Lukaku worked really hard after their conversation in the meeting and hopes to come back versus spurs”.
There is a very high possibility that we might be seeing Lukaku on the pitch against Spurs. Not only that, but we will also be seeing Lukaku playing against his ex-manager and Chelsea against the manager who had Conte sacked as head coach in the year 2018. So, we are in for a high drama match in the coming few days as Chelsea will face Spurs three times this month, once for Premier League and twice for the Carabao Cup Semi-Finals.
