Taruni Gandhi| Punjab Breaking News : While giving a big blow to the corrupt mindset, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann sacked out his minister Dr. Vijay Singla out of Cabinet on the charges of corruption. Mann spoke on video while exposing his own minister who was asking for a 1 percent commission on all department tenders.
Dr. Vijay Singla who was given the ministry of Health and Family Welfare is charged with corruption. The CMO has taken action on Health Minister Vijay Singla, demanding a 1% commission on contracts from officers.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said it was only him who knew about the case, neither the media nor the opposition got to know about the issue. He could have blanketed the matter but his conscience did not let him do this and he sacked Singla after receiving the complaint. As per Mann, Singla too had admitted to these charges.
Mann said that it is for the second time in the history of the country, that a Chief Minister took strict action directly against his minister. People have formed the government of the Aam Aadmi Party with great expectations, it is our duty to live up to that expectation.
In 2015, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had sacked one of his ministers in a corruption case.
