Phillipe Coutinho Returns to Premier League : The Brazilian attacking midfielder Phillipe Coutinho has finally agreed to join somewhere else. The ex- Barcelona player has decided to join Aston Villa after not having a successful run at the club. After leaving Liverpool in 2016, F.C. Barcelona saw the opportunity and grabbed it by buying the young talented Brazilian star. On reaching Barcelona he had an extremely well first season with the Catalonians. Playing 18 matches in La Liga he managed to score a total number of 8 goals with 5 assists to his name. (Phillipe Coutinho Returns to Premier League)
Since then, he had a troublesome time in the club. The season of 2018-19 was disastrous for him as he played 34 matches and was able to score only 5 goals and 2 assists with 2 yellow cards. Phillipe has no doubt struggled a lot through the years in his time at Barcelona. This affected him in his prime era as his stats had massively sunken to a new low. During his time in Barcelona, Bayern Munich contacted the Catalonians to loan Coutinho for a year. The then-president Josep Maria Bartomeu came up with an agreement with Bayern Munich and decided to loan the player. Upon reaching Bayern he did get better as he had made 11 appearances with 3 goals and assists. However, that was not enough to get his mojo back. (Phillipe Coutinho Returns to Premier League)
The recent rumours of Phillipe Coutinho joining another club are true. As Barcelona has again accepted for loaning the player to Aston Villa under Steven Gerrard. The Brazilian player is back in English Premier League. Although F.C. Barcelona also included a buy option clause for 40 million Euro, Aston Villa have settled only for a loan at this moment.
Currently, Phillipe Coutinho is travelling to England together with his family. As he is required to go through medical and signing of his loan contract as a player for Aston Villa, the fans are very excited to see him back again in EPL. The stakes have never been higher as the tension grows more and more for EPL drama. (Phillipe Coutinho Returns to Premier League)
